Weddings servicesA branch of Penisola Inn Resort and services is dedicated to the organization of weddings in the Sorrento and Amalfi area. Exchange your wedding vows in the stunning Amalfi Coast region of Italy, with the deep blue sea sparkling in the background. The Amalfi Coast together with the Sorrento cost are renowned as the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Europe, and one look at the awe-inspiring views will tell you exactly why. A team of experts arrange your entire wedding from the needed paperwork at the Registry office and Consulate to arranging, beauty services, floral arrangements, photos, video, music, transportation, reception venue and any other services you might think of. We work with only the best top providers. Beauty services: Hairdressing, make up, manicure and any other beauty service can be provided with a trial before the ceremony. Our wedding hairdressers know how to fashion a hairstyle perfectly suited for you and your features. No two brides are made up the same way. Our Hairdressers design hairstyles for their clients as if they had to enter a beauty pageant.
Floral arrangement: Gorgeous posies for the bride and bridesmaids, cascading bouquet, buttonholes for the groom and the guests, corsages can be provided. Floral decorations for the ceremony and the reception venue also can be arranged. Please send us your photos and we can then forward to you exact costs.
Photos and video: Photographer services can be realized from a minimum of 50 color pictures 20x25 cms taken before, during and after the ceremony, album and all negatives. Other options such as black and white photos, leather album, complete photographer services are on request. A video of the ceremony or of the whole day can also be arranged on either PAL or NTSC system with editing and music. We work with the best professionals in the country in all budget ranges from a deluxe package to a more modestly priced but equally professional service.
Music: We arrange live musicians during the ceremony and also during the reception with different sorts of entertainment. Baroque quartets in 17th century costumes, gifted solo musicians or something different and contemporary. Here too the list is endless and depends entirely on your budget and taste.
Transportation: Limousine or private car service with chauffeur for your transfer to the Town Hall and after the ceremony to the reception venue. Minibuses available to transport guests. Something of more typical and romantic is the horse drawn carriage. Reception venue: Reception venues for a few or many guests are available with menu choice selected according to our brides culinary tastes. Certain couples require only an intimate champagne luncheon for two while others request a 12 course wedding banquet for over 300. Menu printing, wine lists, seating arrangement, and finding the perfect setting - are some of the details involved in selecting a reception location.
Booking Your Wedding Once we receive the funds you will hear from your personal wedding coordinator. You will then be able to plan everything together via e-mail and kept current of everything as we receive updates and confirmations on services.
A Catholic wedding A Catholic wedding is a religious ceremony and specific catholic requirements need to be met before such a ceremony can be done. You will need to attend pre marital classes and furnish the Italian priest with proof of your baptism, confirmation and first communion papers. If one of you is not Catholic it is still possible to have a Catholic wedding by prior approval of the priest and diocese here in Italy. If you were previously married in a Catholic ceremony and are now divorced you cannot have a Catholic rite without a formal church annulment. Some priests will want to meet the couple face to face several days before the wedding.

Once these have been returned to you, they must be forwarded to the local Bishop’s See in Italy to obtain the Italian Religious Nulla Osta. It is required a month as the absolute minimum to give the priest and archbishop in Italy time to rewiew the paperwork.
Civil Weddings Civil weddings, legally recognized marriages, must take place in properties approved by the local authorities. Are not allowed and recognized marriages in private villas or castles. The wedding halls we use are very beautiful. The readings of the civil vows are conducted in Italian and arer about 20 min long but you can enrich the wedding however you prefer. After the reading, the rings are exchanged and then the witness sign the wedding act as do the bride and groom. Note that according to Italian law a divorced woman or a widow cannot remarry unless 300 days have passed from the date of the Decree Absolute or decease of the previous spouse. The minimum stay required is 4 days before the marriage can take place. Town Hall ceremonies are conducted from Mondays to Fridays, between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm and must be booked in advance.
The paperwork required by the local Registrar are as follows: 1. No impediment certificate (Nulla Osta) issued by the relevant authorities; 2. Full birth certificate; 3. Photocopies of valid passport (of witnesses as well); 4. 2 witnesses; 5. Interpreter if neither party speaks Italian; Registry fee.
